Town of Frombork – Life of Copernicus

Itinerary: We visit Frombork, a little town beautifully located on the Vistula River, known as a jewel of Warmia region. It is here were the most famous astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus spent most of his life and where he is buried. We walk around the Cathedral Hill, the monument of the highest class hiding interesting museums and art colletions. We discover the medieval complex with numerous buildings including Cathedral, bishops’ palaces, defensive walls, canonries and towers. We visit the Copernicus’ Tower, where he lived and see the exhibition about Copernicus study. We also drop into the Belfry hiding Planetarium and the Foucault’s Pendulum. Here we have a unique opportunity for us to observe the rotary motion of the Earth! After the tour of the town time for relax on a beautiful shore of the Vistula River. Return to Gdansk.
