Dunajec River Gorge

Itinerary:     A scenic trip in the picturesque area of ​​the Pieniny mountains and the opportunity to see the small villages and towns of southern Poland (among other things the well-known resort of Szczawnica). The attraction of the tour is rafting on the Dunajec river, popular since the nineteenth century – it lasts about 2 hours (depending on the water level in the river) and takes place on traditional wooden rafts (12 persons per raft), which are navigated by local rafters. During the trip you can take in the extraordinary views of the limestone rocks of the Pieniny gorge. With a little good luck you can also see local wildlife like trout or black storks. During the tour we will visit the medieval castle in Niedzica, rising over an artificial lagoon and a huge dam built in the 90’s, it hides the mysterious story of the descendants … the Incas!
