Three faces of Malopolska

Itinerary: During this tour we will discover the many faces of the region around Krakow – Malopolska: the city called the Pearl of the Renaissance (Tarnów), the former Jewish town (Dabrowa Tarnowska) and a Polish village (Zalipie), which is famous for its folklore preserved there. Tarnow is renowned for its Renaissance architecture. This is an example of the Galician town where Poles, Jews and Roma lived before the war. Here we stroll around the Old Town discovering its highlights: the Gothic Cathedral, the picturesque Old Town Square with colourful tenament houses and the remains of fortifications. In DabrowaTarnowska we will visit a restored synagogue of the eighteenth century. It is one of the largest left in Poland and commemorates the Jewish community of Dabrowa, which was up to 80% of the local population before the war. Lastly we will drive to Zalipie, a small village which today is full of painted traditional huts decorated with colorful flowers. We also visit the local association of folk artists.
