Day 2    Morning: Warsaw sightseeing (up to 4h) • afternoon at leisure

Warsaw is a capital of Poland – it is a city of culture, business and beautiful parks (almost ¼ of the city is covered with greenery!).  During the tour we discover all the highlights of the Old Town: Old Market Square, Royal Palace, Cathedral of St. John. We also see the famous enormous Palace of Culture and Science built in 50’ as a gift for Polish people from Stalin. We finish the tour with a relaxing walk around the beautiful Lazienki Park,  the former suburban residence of the last Polish king with a beautiful grounds and a monument to Chopin.

Afternoon: At leisure.  We suggest visit to one of the museums: Museum of Frideric Chopin, Museum of Maria Sklodowska-Curie or Baroque palace & gardens (17th century) in Wilanow.

Day 3    Morning: Jewish Traces in Warsaw (up to 4h) • afternoon at leisure

Before WW II Jews constituted 30% of population in Warsaw and were the second largest Jewish community in the world (after New York). All the places we see are to remind the vibrant Jewish life and culture thriving in the city before WW II:  former houses of prayer, schools, public institutions, the newly opened Jewish Museum. We visit the Nozyk Synagogue (the only one remaining from before 1939) and the Jewish cemetery, one of the largest in Europe. We also follow traces of Holocaust: the area of the ghetto and Umschlagplatz – a last stop for Jews before transportation to the camps.

Afternoon: at leisure. We suggest visiting Polin – the History of Polish Jews Museum
