Day 1 Arrival. Transfer to the hotel.
Day 2 Morning: Wroclaw Old Town walk (3 h) • afternoon at leisure
Wroclaw, one of the oldest cities in Poland, is picturesquely located on the Odra River. Our tour reveals the fascinating and tumultuous history of the city which belonged to Polish Kingdom, then to Czech Kingdom, to Habsburgs’ Empire, to Germany… We discover all its highlights: the Old Town Square, with a magnificent Gothic Town Hall, the Wroclaw University, Ostrow Island hiding the complex of medieval sacral buildings. We also follow the dwarfs… They are the symbols of the Orange Alternative and remind the history of opposition against the communist regime.
Afternoon: At leisure. We suggest visit to the Panorama of Raclawice or the old Jewish cemetery.
Day 3 Morning: Pearls of Silesia: Church of Peace (UNESCO) and Ksiaz Castle (7-8 h)
During this tour we discover the landmarks of Lower Silesia region. We visit the Church of Peace in Swidnica (17th century, UNESCO), the largest timber-framed religious building in Europe. It bears exceptional witness to the political situation of Europe in the 17th century, religious wars and spiritual commitment. Then we see an impressive castle in Ksiaz, the third largest one in Poland. Built in the 13th century it was then rebuilt in different styles and hides 400 rooms and lodgings. Afterwards we go to Szczawno Zdroj, a historical spa resort with a beautiful spa architecture from the 19th century. Here you can take a relaxing walk and a sip of local mineral water in an old pump room.
Day 4 Transfer to the airport. Departure.
